Growing up I always thought resolution was a goal, something that one wants to achieve. I’m honestly not a fan of “new years resolutions”.
This morning I was thinking of what resolutions I wanted to make for the new year. It got me thinking about what the word resolution means. Definition of the word: the act or process of resolving. Solution of a problem.
So when we make statements like “I want to lose weight!” or “I want to quit smoking!” we aren’t really making any resolutions, only desires.
When you are making your resolution, think deeper then what you want to do, create a plan… SOLVE THE PROBLEM!
Did you know that only 20% of people that make a new years resolution actually stick to solving the problem? That’s 1 out of every 5 people will actually be successful. How? Because they found out what the problem was and took a daily action to change it! Be as specific as possible to your problem, and be the ONE out of your friends that resolves their problem!
