Making Changes

“If you always do what you’ve always done… Then you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”

I love this quote… I heard it the other day while I was watching NCIS. (You never know where great advice will come from. If you are open to it!)

So many times when people start a diet or workout plan, they do what they know. We are creatures of habit and when we don’t have success we’ll stop for awhile then try again. But when we try again, we do the same thing and sooner or later we don’t have success and we stop again. Its like that saying, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.”

If we do change what we do, then how do you expect any different results? This doesn’t just apply to our exercise and diet adventures, this can be applied with our careers and relationships too. Change is always constant, it’s needed to grow in life. Every living object is either growing or dying. Look at a flower, first it grows, then the flower sprouts and once it reaches its fullest potential, it starts to die. We are like flowers, if we aren’t growing, we are dying. The only difference is is that we choose whether or not we are growing or dying.

Life is completely up to us in how we want to live it. Learn to embrace the changes, the changes that are made for s, and the ones that we can control. If you want different results, take a chance and make a change, if you don’t make changes, you’ll always get the same results.

Change is scary, but like my last blog about FEAR, your thoughts on what you change is False Evidence Appearing Real. You can not predict the future so why not take a chance. You might be happy with the outcome!
